High back ergonomic chair. The 6000 series back is wider and taller than the 8000 and does not wrap around you as much. This helps direct support to the upper back. Large frame workers with neck or mid-back pain are well suited to this type of chair. The seat pan comes in small, medium, and large sizes. You can also choose how much contour you want in the seat pan. Moderate contour cradles your legs to reduce pressure in the thigs and the SIT bones. Contour also encourages a V-sitting position where your legs are slightly apart. This is good for sciatica sufferers and those who get sore from sitting in standard chairs. This can promote a more upright seated posture also. There is a deep contour option which greatly reduces thigh and buttock pressures. As this deep contour is so different from what most other chairs are like we request that you talk with your healthcare provider or our ergo expert before purchasing the deep option. The optional Thoracic support is also helpful for those with neck and shoulder discomfort.
